Our First Family Friday

Welcome to my first Family Friday post!
On Fridays I like to share something to do with or for your family.
With the start of the new school year right behind us and candy on sale because of Halloween, this is a perfect time to send in a special treat for your child's teachers.

This idea was inspired from pinterest. Take a large box of m&m's and copy a similar poem for your child's teacher.

My Magnificent & Marvelous Teacher
Green is for the inspiration you give me each day
Blue is for your patience in showing me the way
Orange is for your warmth and caring style
Yellow is for the way you always make me smile
Red is for my life that you will touch this year.
Thank you for being my M & M.
Love, your child's name

Doing projects together with your kids to bless someone else is not only a great bonding time but it teachers our children about the importance of giving to bless others. And when they have a chance to give it to their teacher and see the smile on their face, it may start to connect those dots for them.

We used this gift as a way to bless both Abbey's and Micah's teachers on the first day of school, and the teachers were very excited about it. Even Micah, our 2 year old, enjoyed handing them out.

Have fun!
